Membership Frequently Asked Questions
What is a Membership?
A membership is simply a way of thanking all of our donors for their support. It is not a purchase of special benefits; the benefit of a membership is to the community and the organizations we support. Thus, a membership is nothing – and the donation is everything! (And, your donations to CTYL are tax-deductible to the full extent allowed by law.) The memberships are just gravy to make giving more fun, and live out our mission of Charity Through Youthful Living.
Can I volunteer if I’m not a member?
Absolutely! All of our volunteer events are open to anyone interested in attending. This includes Holiday Shopping and our CTYL Volunteers events. So bring your friends, family, and neighbors along to all of our volunteer events, and show them what Charity Through Youthful Living really means!
Do I need to purchase a membership for my kids?
Dependents are free at all kid-friendly CTYL events, and kid-friendly members-only events with a member parent. While we would appreciate a donation on their behalf, dependents need not become a member to receive members-only invitations and discounts.
Can members bring dates, friends, or other guests to members-only events?
Yes, members may bring dates, friends, and other guests to members-only events. Depending on the event, the number of guests may be limited, and there may be an additional requested donation for guests.
Are family memberships available?
Because dependents are welcome at all kid-friendly events at no extra cost, family memberships are not currently offered.
